Tianhuan Hydrogen Source’s hydrogen‑energy intelligent manufacturing base located in Pengshan Economic Development Zone, Meishan City has completed commissioning of all production lines and officially gone into full‑scale operation. Covering a total land area of 13 000 square meters, the base has built two automated intelligent manufacturing lines respectively for megawatt‑grade PEM water electrolysis hydrogen‑production equipment and 20 kW lightweight / 240 kW high‑power fuel cells. It is also equipped with a dedicated ion‑beam micro‑nano processing laboratory and a full‑condition endurance test center for complete machines. Core components including metallic bipolar plates, membrane electrodes, catalyst layers, FC vehicle control systems and isolated DC/DC power conversion units are all independently developed and mass‑produced on‑site. It fundamentally removes bottlenecks caused by overseas core components and control software, and strongly supports the company’s nationwide market expansion in hydrogen production and hydrogen‑powered end‑use businesses.

The base has assembled a full‑time R&D team of more than 100 personnel, carrying out pilot‑scale verification and mass‑production process optimization for eight core self‑developed technologies. Exclusive processes including ion‑beam catalyst surface reconstruction, multi‑stage variable‑diameter uniform mass‑transfer flow‑field, nano anti‑corrosion hydrophilic coating for ultra‑thin metallic bipolar plates, and multi‑module multi‑core fuel‑cell scheduling algorithm have all been implemented on mass‑production lines.

For PEM water electrolysis equipment, the self‑developed megawatt‑grade electrolyser achieves a rated DC power consumption as low as 4.3 kWh/Nm³, ranking among China’s first‑tier energy‑saving level. Capable of stable operation across the full 5%‑150% load range with a load‑change response rate ≥ 20 % per second, it perfectly adapts to drastic power fluctuations of wind and photovoltaic power between day and night and under variable weather conditions, substantially cutting curtailed renewable‑energy losses. The electrolyser delivers hydrogen at an outlet pressure up to 3 MPa. Small‑scale hydrogen production‑refueling stations do not require multi‑stage compression units, while ten‑thousand‑ton‑scale green‑hydrogen bases only need single‑stage pressurization. Initial capital investment and long‑term power consumption for compression of the whole station are reduced by 18 %. All electrolysis units undergo full‑load cycle pre‑testing before delivery. The fuel‑cell production line consists of two major product portfolios. The 240 kW high‑power metallic‑bipolar‑plate stack targets hydrogen‑fueled heavy‑duty trucks, main‑line railway locomotives and large‑plant combined heat‑and‑power backup units. With overall dimensions of 579 × 550 mm and a weight of merely 90 kg, it reaches volumetric power density ≥ 6.25 kW/L, supports cold start at ‑35 ℃ without auxiliary heating, and boasts a design service life of 30 000 hours validated by thousands‑of‑hours bench endurance tests.

The 20 kW lightweight power module features an external‑humidifier‑free integrated design, eliminating water pumps and large humidification pipelines. Its overall dimensions are reduced to 520 × 470 mm with a gravimetric power density exceeding 1 kW/kg and a maximum continuous operating temperature of 120 ℃. It fits compact‑space special‑purpose equipment such as industrial UAVs, quadruped inspection robots and silent mobile construction‑site power supplies. Under equal hydrogen‑storage conditions, its driving range is 2‑3 times that of lithium‑ion batteries. Hydrogen cylinder replacement for refueling can be finished within minutes, delivering prominent advantages for continuous field operations.

Owning complete qualifications for pressure‑vessel manufacturing, Class‑A explosion‑proof engineering construction and special‑equipment installation, the manufacturing base can independently undertake full‑process EPC general‑contracting projects including distributed integrated hydrogen‑production‑refueling stations, ten‑thousand‑ton‑level wind‑solar‑coupled green‑hydrogen bases, hydrogen‑powered rail transit powertrains and special‑equipment power assemblies. No third‑party equipment or construction subcontracting is required, enabling full in‑house control over project schedule, quality and safety. Supported by the self‑developed hydrogen‑equipment cloud IoT operation‑and‑maintenance platform, hundreds of equipment operating parameters are collected in real‑time with automatic fault early‑warning push notifications. Three long‑term service modes are available: remote online O&M, full‑year on‑site entrusted operation and maintenance, and later‑phase modular expansion & technical renovation. Existing users can add production capacity by stacking standardized electrolysis / stack units instead of full‑set equipment replacement, greatly lowering retrofitting costs.

After full‑line commissioning, the procurement price of self‑developed equipment of identical specifications is 15%‑25 % lower than that of assembler‑oriented manufacturers relying on outsourced parts. Under mass‑production scheduling, delivery cycles are stably controlled within 30 days. Diversified cooperation options are offered for new‑energy investors, transportation equipment manufacturers, industrial parks and local governments, including equipment supply, EPC general contracting, joint construction of industrial bases and complete production‑technology licensing.
